Housemasters - Steven & Victoria Clayton

Steven and Victoria are Sherborne's first ever joint Housemasters. They have both been in the School for many years and have wide experience both in the classroom and beyond. Steven was Head of Physical Education, teaching and examining the A Level specification. He has a particular interest in sports psychology and been a tutor in three Houses. Victoria is Head of Learning Development, a wide-ranging post involving responsibility for the School's Libraries, the extended essay and the extended project in the IB Diploma Programme and teaching ICT. A very sociable couple, away from school they share a keen interest in travel, theatre, music and local politics. They have two children.

Abbeylands is one of the oldest buildings in the town, parts of it dating from the sixteenth century. As a boarding house, it has recently been extended and refurbished, offering a good range of modern facilities. Its garden is a hidden gem for a house that stands in the middle of the town.
