Housemaster - Martin Brooke
Martin became Housemaster of The Digby in 2006. He joined the school in 1988 and had been Head of Classics since 1990. His non-academic interests include sport - particularly football, music, film and wine. His wife, Rachel, combines her career in publishing with an active role in the life of the House. They have one son.
The Digby, once a four star hotel, is spacious and is set in beautiful gardens not far from the railway station. Mentioned by Thomas Hardy in the Woodlanders, it was converted for boarding use in the mid-1960's and has been regularly up-dated, so that its facilities are modern and comfortable.
