The Córdoba Trip

Since 2009 we have been running a one week study visit to the beautiful and historic town of Córdoba in southern Spain for the Fifth Form. The trip has taken place in the half-term of the Lent Term and has included girls from Leweston from the same year group.
 
The students stay with Spanish families and attend a local language academy in the mornings where the emphasis is on developing their oral skills (course taught by native-speakers). Apart from language progress there are also opportunities to see the sights in and around Córdoba and to meet young Spaniards of the same age at a local school.

An important aspect of this trip is the opportunity the students get to live with Spanish families (students are normally living in pairs with their host family) as in this way they deepen their linguistic and cultural experience.
