The León Trip

The León trip for our students of Spanish who have completed their Lower Sixth studies was established in 1999. Nearly two-hundred of our students have now enjoyed a two-week summer study placement in this beautiful town with its magnificent cathedral. Students are housed with Spanish families and the entire course is delivered in Spanish.

This study visit is designed to tackle the particular needs of our A Level and I.B. candidates and it is organised for us by the University of León. There are four hours of lessons each morning which cover grammar, conversation, recent history and the cinema of Pedro Almodóvar.

León is a city of around 150,000 inhabitants and its old quarter, in and around which the students are accommodated, has the reassuring sense of a small and tranquil town set within a large and lively city.
