Sherborne encourages individual and independent creativity by providing wonderful studio and workshop spaces in a building designed for Art by Sir Reginald Blomfield, the leading architect of his day. The department provides every opportunity for pupils to develop their creative talents to the highest standards.
Students can specialise in a wide variety of areas such as printmaking, painting, sculpture, life drawing and digital media. We want there to be something for everyone here - from those who might like to dabble with paint in their free time to those who wish for a more sophisticated engagement with international contemporary art and the history of art through our A Level and GCSE programmes.
Sherborne works closely with regional arts organisations and local schools and colleges to promote visual arts through the community.
