Choral Society
Sherborne School Choral Society, formerly known as "MusSoc", includes up to 60 members of the local community, parents and friends, some 50 or so Shirburnians and another 50 pupils from Sherborne Girls. An annual performance in the Abbey, with a professional orchestra, takes place in February. The Choral Society meets every Sunday evening from 6.00 - 7.15pm in the Tindall Recital Hall between September and February.

Members of the local community who wish to sing in the Choral Society should contact the Director of Music, James Henderson, by email (jhenderson@sherborne.org) Previous performances have included African Sanctus (2006), Mendelssohn's Elijah (2007), Mozart's Mass in C Minor (2008) and Brahms' Requiem (2009), Mozart's Requiem and Brahms' Schicksalsleid (2010). In 2011 the Choral Society performed Rossini's Stabat Mater and Puccini's Messa di Gloria. |
