Primary School Art Workshop

Sherborne School Art Department hosted another activity day for the four Sherborne Area Cluster Primary Schools on 13th January. Selected pupils from All Saints CEVC Primary School, Bishops Caundle; Buckland Newton School; St. Mary's CEVC Primary School, Bradford Abbas and Thornford CEVA Primary School all participated in a day of artistic endeavour. Current lower sixth student Harry Latham (a) devised the day's drawing workshop as part of his AS Level art, which involved themes evident in Renoir's painting The Umbrellas, 1881-6.

This is the fourth consecutive year Sherborne School Art Department has been host to such a successful and enjoyable day. Each alternate year the primary schools hold an exhibition of their resultant work in the Oliver Holt Gallery this year their focus will be on music and performance.
