Boys pitch business idea to Dulux

Seven Sherborne boys have pitched their idea for an iPhone application concept to Dulux. The boys worked on their idea whilst on a Young British Entrepreneur course held at school.  They developed an impressive pitch, supported by Young British Entrepreneur, and we look forward to hearing about their success.

Sherborne takes part in Ski Racing Tournament

On Friday 22nd January, two teams of four boys will be travelling to Meiringen, Switzerland, to take part in the annual ski-racing competition for schoolboys.  Last year, three boys entered the competition for the first time; veterans Julian Chajecki (L6m) and Charlie Leach (L6b) are joined this year by George Ellwood (L6b) and Will Gibbon (L6m) to make up the senior team.  Simon Fraser (4e), Hugo Howarth (3c), Paul Myatt (3b) and Daniel Versloot (4g) form the junior team.  Fourteen other schools, including Tonbridge, Dulwich College and St Paul’s are also taking part in the three-day event, which involves the Parallel, Giant Slalom, and Slalom disciplines.

Two Sherborne Boys enjoy flight with the Royal Navy

Simon Wrey (L6f) and Charlie Hensher (L6a) represented the School's CCF when they attended an Air Experience Day with the Royal Navy's 727 Air Squadron at RNAS Yeovilton in November 2009.  The visit was part of activities organised by the Royal Navy's 'Fly 100' centenary celebrations.
