Physics Lectures Programme
Throughout the academic year a programme of visiting lecturers will present though-provoking topics to the boys. The next lecture on 2nd November will be "Frontier Particle Physics - the Large Hadron Collider and the Origin of Mass" by Nick Evans from the School of Physics and Astronomy, Southampton University.

Geography Data Collection on the Sid
61 boys and six staff enjoyed a rewarding data collection day on the river Sid in Devon on Friday 14 October. Boys were split into small groups to collect river channel data, to assess the changing characteristics of a river as it moves downstream.

Lower Sixth Geographers Urban Regeneration in Manchester
The L6th geographers have just returned from a highly successful and enjoyable trip to Manchester. During the stay, in a converted old mill building on the Rochdale canal in the Castlefield district of Manchester, the boys undertook a walking tour of the city evaluating the success [or failure] of various urban regeneration policies that have been put in place.

Grease is the word! School production 1-3 December
‘Grease’ is the word as we are delighted to announce that it is this year’s main School production. A large, talented cast of boys and girls (Sherborne Girls’ and Leweston School) will rock ‘n’ roll through this high energy production which tells the story of teenage life in the 1950’s; themes of young love and adolescent angst are shown to be timeless and universal.
