Sherborne U14 Rugby Sevens reach semi finals at Prior Park

Yesterday saw the U14 VII run out for their first competition of the season at Prior Park, Bath. After a nervous start, tries from Tom Lewis (3a) and Freddie Coreth (3b) saw the side draw with hosts Prior Park 12-12 with George Wallington's (3d) conversion missing by an inch.

As the day progressed so too did the team's style of play; pure Sevens rugby broke out and the tries came thick and fast. QEH Bristol, Wycliffe, Stroud and Dean Close, Cheltenham were all dispatched setting up a Cup Semi-Final with a strong Blundell's side. Despite playing some exceptional Sevens the boys lost out to a very physical and quick side 17-0 who then went on to win the competition.

A massive well done to all boys involved and special mention to James Fenwick (3m) voted player of the competition and Fergus Hamilton (3c) who topped the try scoring for the day.
