Swing Band plays at Port Regis

The Swing Band was invited to perform at Port Regis on Friday 3rd February. Commenting upon the band's performance, the Director of Music at Port Regis, Shaun Bracey, said: "The whole school was excited by such dynamic music and superb playing. The repertoire was exactly right for the audience: a mix of jazz standards alongside some less well-known tunes. There could be no better way of spending a Friday evening!"

In recent gigs the Swing Band has moved more towards Be-Bop, with Yardbird Suite, Anthropology and Oleo featuring in the Port Regis concert together with some new vocal numbers - Just in time, At last and I like this one - featuring vocalist Patrick Evans-Bevan (an Old Port-Regian).
