Sports at Sherborne

Sport has always played a major part in the life of the School. Whilst at Sherborne the pupils can expect to receive expert coaching in a wide variety of sports. They will have the opportunity to develop and acquire individual techniques and to put them into practice in a competitive situation. Their confidence and unselfishness that comes from working with others in a team will grow and almost all will have the opportunity to represent the School at some point in their careers.

Sherborne offers outstanding sporting facilities, including 50 acres of playing fields where sixteen team games can take place at the same time; a new all-weather pitch with floodlighting, a large athletics area and 20 tennis courts. Close to the centre of the School are the Rugby Fives courts and the Sports Centre, with its squash courts, sports hall, fitness centre, studio and 25 metre swimming pool.
