At Sherborne, we have a clear vision of what a modern, civilised education should be.

We aim to teach and to develop all dimensions of a growing boy, not just small fragments of him.  Every part of the School experience at Sherborne - intellectual, creative, emotional and practical - is given equal importance.

Whatever its history, and the history of Sherborne is both long and distinguished, a School needs to develop a vision which is rounded and complete.  Our task is to inspire each boy, develop his talents, support him, stretch him and at the same time give him an understanding of the world in which he finds himself.  We want him to leave with the emotional and practical strengths both to exist happily and to excel in an increasingly demanding and varied society.
