ESTATES OFFICE MANAGER
40 Hours per week, although flexibility may be required to meet the demands of the job.
 
Sherborne School is looking to appoint an experienced manager to be responsible for managing a busy and friendly Estates Office, with direct responsibility for staff.  The successful post holder will assist the Estates Bursar with the strategic development of the Estates and Service team functions, manage the development of stores and procurement and provide support for events held at the School, working with the Services and Events Manager.  
 
The successful post holder will have working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and effectiveness at building strong working relationships.

ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN

All year round post – 40 hours per week to include some evenings and weekends.  (Opening hours from 8.30am to 7.00pm).

Sherborne School seeks to appoint a confident and enthusiastic person to assist in the day-to-day management of the School Library and to deputise in the School Librarian’s absence.  The applicant must be patient, flexible and have a sense of humour and be willing and able to teach information literacy and to guide and support students in independent research.  The candidate must possess excellent ICT skills and knowledge and have confidence in working with Boys aged 13-18 years.  

All applicants must have the Information & Library Studies Degree or Postgraduate Diploma or Masters in Information & Library Studies, Chartered or with a desire to seek Chartership.

FRONT OF HOUSE CATERING ASSISTANT

SPORTS CENTRE ASSISTANT / LIFEGUARD

40 hours per week, flexible on a rota basis (to include some early mornings, evenings and weekend work).
 
The Sports Centre Assistant will be involved in on-going training, plus the assessment, teaching, training and supervision of members of the public and boys from the School within the Sports and Fitness Centre, in addition to lifeguarding duties.   The successful applicant will have good interpersonal skills and be approachable and confident in dealing with a variety of people.

CLEANING SHIFT SUPERVISOR

37.5 hours per week 5 days out of 7 as per the rota
(hours of work will fall between 5.30am – 9.30pm) – All Year Round Position

A full time shift supervisor is required to support and deliver the efficient, effective and high standard of cleaning, portering and event support, to all areas within the School.  The successful post holder will have the ability to supervise a shift and motivate staff to ensure the Department delivers an excellent level of customer service to internal and external customers. Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and a current driving licence are essential.

We are looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic person to work as part of the Services Department.  Candidates must have the ability to co-operate easily with others, work well as part of a team but be comfortable when required to work independently and unsupervised.  Previous portering and cleaning experience is desirable.
