DIRECTOR OF RUGBY COACHING

Jack joined Sherborne School in September 2019. He has joined the School from Bath Rugby where he worked for 8 years in both the community and academy departments. During Jack's time at Bath Rugby, he had the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches in the world including Neil Hatley, Todd Blackadder, Mike Ford, Danny Grewcock and Tabai Maston.

Jack's vast coaching experience includes coaching within Bath Rugby's Academy pathway. He also coached the Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire County teams in addition to Bath University Rugby teams and national league teams. Jack made the transfer to coaching rugby at the age of 19 after having his own rugby career cut short due to injury. Jack's philosophy is based around challenging, supporting and empowering each and every player and coach in order for them to reach their own potential, this is a culture he is passionate about growing at Sherborne School.

At Sherborne, Jack offers support across all teams in all year groups. This ensures he has the best insight into every pupil and coach enabling him to create opportunities to develop the Rugby programme at the School.

Jack's experience in elite sport at Bath Rugby facilitates the school's Sports Scholars’ High-Performance Programme helping the school's ambitious sporting pupils learn about developing skills and knowledge both on and off the field.

Jack lives in Somerset with his wife Izzy and newborn daughter Lola.
