Deputy Head (Pastoral)

Allister joined the School in January 2019 having previously worked at Dauntsey’s School in Wiltshire.  During his time at Dauntsey’s he was a Boarding Housemaster and taught Geography, having also been Head of their PSHE Department, as well as Master in Charge of their Lower School Outdoor Activity programme. For a number of years, Allister ran the Dauntsey’s Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race team and completed the event in 2008. Before Dauntsey’s, he taught at Eastbourne College.

Prior to entering teaching, Allister served as Forward Observation Officer in 29 Commando Regiment, Royal Artillery, having won the Sword of Honour at Sandhurst. He served around the world, working with the US Marine Corps, including war-fighting operations in Iraq in 2003.  He has two small children, Caspar and Poppy-Mae. Allister enjoys running in his spare time.
