The British Physics Olympiad 2018

Huge congratulations to Sixth Former's Calin and Lazar on their triumph at the British Physics Olympiad. Both achieved a Gold Award in the Round 1 paper at the start of the year and Calin was invited to take part in the next round, where he also achieved a Gold Award. Alongside these accomplishments, Calin also received a Gold Award in the British Astronomy & Astrophysics paper. 

"I cannot overstate how impressive these results are – especially for Calin. His results placed him in the top 15 or so of 1700 participants in a very challenging series of papers."
