Deputy Head (Academic)
Tim joined Sherborne in 2014. Prior to that he was Director of Learning at Sir William Perkins’s School and, before that, Head of Biology at Merchant Taylors’, Northwood and at Wellington College. As Deputy Head (Academic) Tim is responsible for teaching and learning at Sherborne, including arranging the School’s curriculum and its staffing. He oversees the reporting schedule and, with the Examinations Officer, ensures the smooth running of all examinations. Tim works with the Timetabler to produce the School’s timetable and holds responsibility for its day-to-day running, including the schedule of cover. Working closely with Rob Marston and Lindsey Millar and, together, with the Heads of Department, Tim ensures the boys are stretched, challenged and supported.
When not working, Tim enjoys indoor rowing and scuba diving. He runs sub-aqua at Sherborne and is a PADI instructor. His wife, Claire and son, Oscar, really enjoy being part of Sherborne’s vibrant boarding community.

Deputy Head (Co-curricular)
Tim joined the school in September 2016 after relocating with his family from London. He previously worked at Queen Elizabeth’s School in Barnet, where he held numerous positions as a member of their Senior Management team including Assistant Head Pastoral, DSL and Heads of both Rugby and Cricket.

Deputy Head (Sixth Form)
Alex joined Sherborne School in September 2022 as Deputy Head (Sixth Form). He has as a first-class honours degree in Drama from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, a PGCE from the University of Cambridge and an MEd in Educational Leadership (with Distinction) from the University of Buckingham. He is a great advocate of global education after spending a year studying at the European Film College in Denmark, and, later on, living and working in the Swiss Alps. He has previously taught at Millfield (where he was Director of Drama), was a Housemaster at both Aiglon College and Uppingham School and most recently served as Head of Sixth Form at Framlingham College. His interests include reading, music, walking, running and cycling. Alex is married to Kate, an educational coach, and they have two daughters, Imogen and Camille.

David assumed the role of Bursar in January 2021 having previously held a number of senior roles within both the private and public sectors. On completion of the the merger with the Sherborne Girls School group his role was extended to become COO for the Group.

Senior Deputy Head
As Senior Deputy Head, Matthew’s role incorporates the detailed management of the working week alongside his involvement in wider strategic matters. He moved to Sherborne as Deputy Head (Pastoral) in 2015 after having been Assistant Head (Boarding) at Brighton College and, before that, a Boarding Housemaster at Bedford School. Matthew read History as a sports scholar at The University of Birmingham before serving with the Scots Guards in Iraq, Bosnia and Afghanistan. His experience has made him a great believer in the need for boys to embrace challenge and learn from their inevitable mistakes. Matthew’s wife, Emma, is a Housemistress at Sherborne Girls where they live with their two children. His interests include running, cricket, music and current affairs.

Headmaster and CEO
Dominic took up his appointment as Headmaster and CEO in January 2016. He received a congratulatory first class degree in History from the University of Leicester and then studied for his doctorate on Henry VII at Magdalen College, Oxford.

Anne joined Sherborne School in June 2022 and is responsible for the development and delivery of the pupil admissions strategy. Having worked in the independent education sector for 17 years, both at prep school and senior schools, Anne has extensive experience in supporting prospective pupils and their parents during the admissions journey.

Lindsey joined Sherborne in 1990 and is responsible for the academic progress of boys in the Third, Fourth and Fifth Forms. She also teaches in the Geography department and has a range of co-curricular roles, including co-ordinating entries for equestrian competitions and was Master in Charge of swimming for 17 years.

Allister joined the School in January 2019 having previously worked at Dauntsey’s School in Wiltshire. During his time at Dauntsey’s he was a Boarding Housemaster and taught Geography, having also been Head of their PSHE Department, as well as Master in Charge of their Lower School Outdoor Activity programme.
