Sherborne Celebrates European Day of Languages

We are delighted to be celebrating European Day of Languages at the Sherborne Schools Group and invite your school to enter our video competition. 

What's your favourite word in a language that isn't English? Is there a word that makes you smile, think, or feel inspired? Whether it's poetic, powerful, or just plain fun to say - we want to hear it!

How to enter your school - 

  1. Choose your favourite word in any language except English
  2. Make a short video - tell us what it is, what it means, and why you love it
  3. Submit your entry by emailing [email protected] by Wednesday 24 September

We will collate the videos received and share them on our instagram page, as part of European Day of Languages on Friday 26 September. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative, meaningful, and surprising entries.
